These works began with a body of sculptures titled "Conversations and Lenses" that was created while I was a visiting artist at North Dakota State University and communicating with my wife via webcam. The objects in this gallery use the imagery of scientific optical devices as a vehicle for presenting my ideas on issues ranging from the depletion of natural resources to the conversations I have with myself in my mind.
